It's Time To List Your Services!
Congratulations on getting approved as a Pet Sitter with the CruizinK9 Connect community. We ae thrilled to have you on the team! Now that you are approved, you need to create your first listing to let pet guardians know about the service you provide. If you offer multiple service types, feel free to repeat the steps and create a listing for each of the services you would like to list.
Listing Types
There are 3 types of service listing that you can create:
- Daily Sitting (booked & charged per hour)
- Overnight Sitting (charged per night)
- Dog Walking (set up as a negotiated fee to allow for whether it's once a week for a year, or daily for 2 weeks)
Looking to offer somethingthat doesn't quite fit these listing types? Please reach out to us to let us know.
Need Help?Location
We recommend putting only your neighbourhood (NOT your actual street address) for the listing location for your privacy and saftey.
On the public listing your location will be displayed on a Google Map underneath your service details.
The address input bar DOES allow you to just enter a neighbourhood (e.g. Sun Rivers, Kamloops, BC).
You are welcome to simply list as a Kamloops, but we know that generally pet guardians will tend to search for sitters closest to their area first.
Listing Title & Description
The title is important to immediately catch attention and tell people what you do.
Example Titles:
- Experienced Vet Tech Happy to Sit At Your Home!
- 15yr BC SPCA Volunteer Offering Daily Pet Sitting!
- Westsyde Student Can Walk Your Dog!
The description is also very important as it is the only area where you can really describe yourself and your service in your own words. Use it to give people a real sense of who you are and why they want your service.
NOTE: Be aware of your own privacy and safety. We do NOT recommend sharing sensitive personal information, such as Date of Birth or Workplace.
Example Descriptions:

Templated Listing Fields
To make the listing creation as quick and simple as possible, our listing template allows you to answer questions and check boxes to collect the key information we know pet guardians want.
Many fields are mandatory because they are primary search fields that pet guardians can use to ensure common needs are met.
Others are optional, and many of those are multi-optional, so that you can quickly check off lots of factors in one go. For example, for temperament, you can choose whether to promote that you can accommodate:
- Anxious dogs
- Reactive dogs
- Separation anxiety
- High energy
A Picture Tells A Thousand Words
We all know this saying, and it certainly applies to how people perceive service listings. You are required to add at least one photo before you can publish a listing and we recommend 2-3 to help bring your listing to life. Top Photo Tips: - Crop your image before you upload it to ensure that the area you want displayed is in centre of your photo. Unfortunately, the image currently cannot be repositioned within the image frame within the listing. - Consider showing yourself interacting with a dog to illustrate your care and compassion for animals - If you are looking to host at your home, consider showing a picture of your fenced yard, or your living room to give a sense of the environment that you provide. - Have a testimonial from services before you joined this site? Consider saving a short testimonial as an image and uploading it to your photos to help speak to your credibility before your reviews and ratings here start to speak for themselves.
